Created by European designer Jasper Morrison the Samsung E590 is a photo-oriented handset with a distinctly user friendly interface. The covering of its compact body (94 x 42 x 13.5 mm and weighing only 65g) is soft and rubbery - and while the keys may be small their widely spaced placement precludes any accidental button mashing.
The dual-faced design comprises simple contours and clean lines. On one side is a keypad and lcd display for the phone; the opposite side is the camera. While not eye-catching for an ususual shape its advantages are carefully understated with an excellent display (1.8" 262K colour TFT display with 220x220 pixels resolution) and a 3.2 megapixel camera (maximum resolution of 2048x1536 pixels) with auto-focus half-shutter night mode and panorama shot features.
